Auchinloch Path (temporarily) restored

The big freeze has had some benefits.  It is now possible to walk across the flooded part of the Gadloch to Auchinloch.  Watch out when the thaw comes though!

Fortunately the water level was quite low when it froze.  (Compare with the picture on the December 2009 archive page.)

Cycle / Re-cycle Project

Have you got any old bikes cluttering Bicycleup the garage?  The Healthy Habits project may have just what you need to get rid of them usefully.  This Cycle/Re-cycle project aims to provide employment, training and volunteer opportunities for East Dunbartonshire residents, to enable local people to purchase re-cycled bikes at reasonable prices and offer cyclists a repair service.

But the project needs bikes!  So, if you have any bikes you no longer use, or you just want to pass on, contact Margaret Harkins at 0141 578 8642.
