Lenzie Community Council hosted a public meeting on 24th September on the above proposal, as part of the Pre-Application procedure for major developments.  Around 50 local residents attended and Miller Homes made a presentation of their plans, which include access via Meadowburn Avenue (pictured).  A development comprising 36 homes is envisaged, on a site between Initiative Road and the Earlsburn development.

Miller Homes were closely questioned on their proposals on issues such as access, drainage and flood risk, environmental concerns and ownership of various spaces.  The Community Council Planning Convener made extensive notes and a report of the meeting has now been compiled and sent to the East Dunbartonshire Planning Department.  It is expected that Miller Homes will now prepare a formal, detailed Planning Application, which can be examined and commented on in the usual way.

However, any resident who wishes to have a particular matter discussed by the Council may contact the Secretary via the website (www.lenziecommunitycouncil.org.uk) at least five days prior to a meeting. If the Chair deems it appropriate, non-members attending may participate in discussions on the matter raised, in a time-limited open session before the commencement of the regular Council meeting.
