Lenzie Primary Education Consultation

East Dunbartonshire Council is carrying out a consultation exercise in connection with its Primary Schools Improvement Programme (PSIP).  More details about this programme can be found on the Council’s website by following this link.

The proposal that is under consideration for Lenzie is to close Lenzie Moss Primary, Lenzie Primary and Lenzie Primary Nursery and to build a new school on the Lenzie Moss Primary site.  The closing date for formal responses to this proposal is now past.

The statutory process requires that various stakeholders participate in the consultation process and have their views reflected in the local authority’s report to the Scottish Government.  Lenzie Community Council has submitted a response which you can access here LCC PSIP Response.  This response included discussion of several “wider issues” for the community, as required by the process.  Many of the points made had been notified to the Community Council by residents.
