gala2Lenzie Community Council would like to thank all those involved in the Gala on Saturday 1st June.   True the weather let us down a bit during the last half hour but despite this, many of you came along with your families as usual: to see the entertainment, browse the many stalls and sample the home baking.  And feedback from stallholders suggests you spent quite a bit of money as well!  We would like to thank everyone – individuals, charities, businesses, churches and other organisations – who all contributed to make this a fun filled and memorable day for us all to enjoy.  For the first time this year we organised a raffle and were delighted at the generosity of local shops and businesses who donated a total of twenty prizes.  Very special thanks also to the Lenzie Rugby Club and the Scouts without whom the Gala simply would not be possible and to Andrew Meek who gave our Gala Queen Yasmin and her pageboy Kyle an unforgettable tour of Lenzie in his 100 year old vintage car. And finally, we are particularly grateful again this year to the Woodilee Housebuilders Consortium for their financial support.

If the Chair deems it appropriate, non-members attending may participate in discussions on the matter raised, in a time-limited open session before the commencement of the regular Council meeting.
